We offer training and assessments to all levels and abilities,
from home and novice users to experienced operatives.
We cover a full suite of courses from basic chainsaw maintenance through to emergency tree work training.
All courses are finished with an independent Lantra or NPTC assessment to assure the best certification and skill level for you or your staff.



B&B Now Open for Business




We are pleased to offer our 4 ensuite accommodation Pods for the duration of your course.
Each Pod has a double bed, toilet, sink and shower, with central heating, wi-fi and your own veranda with table and chair.
Breakfast is served in the dining area which also has a pool table and darts for the evening.


Workshop 2 Now up and running




We are pleased to announce that after the devastating fire last June, we are now fully up an running.
Our original classroom and workshop is now complimented by our second workshop and classroom in building two.

Terms & Conditions: Training Disclaimer
1. Inherent Risk
Trainees recognize and accept that forestry and arboricultural operations involve significant physical risk, including working at height and in proximity to falling debris.
2. Safety Compliance
Participants must wear compliant Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and follow all site safety rules. Roland Heming Forest & Arb Ltd reserves the right to immediately remove any participant from the course, without refund, who acts in a manner that endangers themselves or others.
3. Equipment and LOLER/PUWER
Where personal climbing or lowering equipment is used, the owner is solely responsible for its LOLER compliance. Similarly, any personal tools must meet PUWER standards. Roland Heming Forest & Arb Ltd accepts no liability for failures of personal gear or equipment brought onto the site by trainees.
4. Chainsaw and Heavy Machinery
The operation of chainsaws, woodchippers, and heavy forestry machinery is inherently dangerous. Participants must be physically fit to operate such equipment and agree to strictly adhere to all AFAG/FISA safety guidelines and instructor commands. [Business Name] is not liable for injury or damage resulting from the operator’s failure to maintain "safe zones" or improper handling techniques. Proof of valid, compliant PPE (including chainsaw trousers, boots, and head/ear/eye protection) is mandatory before operating live machinery.
5. First Aid Requirements
It is the responsibility of the trainee (or their employer) to ensure they hold a valid and appropriate First Aid certificate (e.g., Emergency First Aid at Work +F) suitable for forestry environments. Roland Heming Forest & Arb Ltd accepts no liability for the lack of medical preparedness of individual trainees during or after the training period.
6. Post-Training Liability
Completion of this training provides the knowledge required for assessment or professional development but does not replace the need for ongoing supervision and experience. Roland Heming Forest & Arb Ltd accepts no liability for any accidents, injuries, or legal repercussions arising from the trainee’s independent work or professional practice following the completion of this course.
